Already, 450 families have asked the state government for relocation and Ramesh said, if it is declared a tiger reserve, the Centre would provide financial assistance for relocation.
Before declaring it as a reserve, Ramesh wants the state to remove lying infrastructure of Kudremukh Iron Ore factory, which was closed as per Supreme Court directions in 2002.
