"The promises made by us to the people will be fulfilled and there would be no compromise," he said addressing a massive crowd to welcome him at his Nowgam residence Srinagar on his return from Delhi.

The promises would be implemented in true spirit, said Mufti, flanked by senior PDP leaders, highlighting the points in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) chalked out in consultation with Congress and other coalition partners in Delhi on Sunday.

All the three regions of the state -- Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir -- would be accorded equal treatment, he said, adding his government will do justice to all the three regions and the people of the entire state would be involved in the decision making process.

Promising a better government in the state, Mufti said history has given us a golden opportunity which needs to be exploited in a proper manner.

Emphasising that gun is no solution to Kashmir problem, Mufti said, "We have to give a healing touch to the wounds inflicted on the people of the state."
