Kavita murder: Mulayam rules out CBI probe

However, UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav said on Tuesday that no minister in his government will be spared if found guilty in the case.

Ruling out a CBI probe in the Kavita Rani murder case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav said on Tuesday that no minister in his government will be spared if found guilty in the case.

"The case (Kavita Rani murder) will not be handed over to the CBI as it will not serve the purpose, but if involvement of any minister is proved in the case, then he will not be spared", Yadav told reporters at Bamania in tribal Jhabua district after paying tributes to noted socialist leader Mama Baaleshwar Dayal on his eighth death anniversary.
