Keep sentiment and religion apart

I think too much dependency on religious sentiments can drive people insane. This is true of all religions. Talaq is done in three successive months, with one utterance in a month, after which the husband and wife have to part ways. Come on, suppose I say talaq to my wife on January 10, then I have to wait for next 21 days, so that I can say it in February, only to repeat it after 27 days to say the final talaq in March. This is ridiculous.

These days lot is happening in the Muslim society with reference to talaq. I simply don't understand why is this concept meaningful among Muslims?

According to me, too much dependency on religious sentiments would drive individuals insane and total nonsense would prevail in their minds. And to me, this is applicable to all religions.

Talaq, as recently shown on Zee news, is actually done in three successive months, with one utterance in a month, after which the husband and wife have to part ways. Come on, suppose I say talaq to my wife on January 10, then I have to keep my mouth shut for next 21 days, so that I can say talaq in February, then again keep quiet for next 27 days to say the final talaq in March.

This is ridiculous.

If I have to part ways, make the law easy so that both of us move ahead, instead of hanging on to three months and so on and so forth.

I agree this period of three months gives time for reconciliation, rethink and decide, when tempers are cooled off, but then, is separation only temperament dependent?
