The Oscar nominated actress’s photograph in a bikini was published by the Daily Mail in an article about a young girl who had died due to the eating disorder.

Knightley’s lawyers claim that the photograph, which appeared along with remarks on her weight, implies she had lied about not suffering from the disorder, reports the BBC.

In a statement, the Pride and Prejudice singer said that she would be challenging the suggestion that she was in a way responsible for the young girl’s death, and that she was setting a bad example with her thin frame.

At a press conference in London after the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest last year, Knightley had insisted that she was “very sure” that she was not suffering from an eating disorder.

At the time, the British beauty said that she seeing women in her family, as well as friends, suffer from anorexia, she knew it was not something to be “taken lightly”.
