Kenya's Kenneth Mugara won the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday setting a new course record in a race dominated by his countrymen.

Mugara set a scorching pace to win in 2 hours, 11 minutes, 51 seconds and break last year's record by 12 seconds in hot conditions.

Mugara followed by fellow Kenyans David Tarus and defending champion John Kelai. Kelai won at Mumbai in 2007 and 2008.
