Kenya's Maiyo wins men's title in Delhi marathon

Maiyo finished in just two hours and 17 minutes to clinch the men's title, edging out compatriots Mark Yatich and Francis Kamau in a close finish.

Just three seconds separated the three Kenyan marathoners as Yatich finishing second in 2:17:02 and Kamau claimed third place 2:17:03.

Tadesse clocked 2:44:29 to take the women's title, leaving in her wake Tanzania's Monika Samila.

Samila clocked 2:44:33 to finish second and spiked the challenge of Ethiopia's Kenneni Chala, who got the bronze in 2:44:37.
