KGMU registrar gets extension

KGMU REGISTRAR Prof US Pandey has been given extension till June 30. He retired on December 31 but will continue on the post till the end of the academic session.

KGMU REGISTRAR Prof US Pandey has been given extension till June 30. He retired on December 31 but will continue on the post till the end of the academic session.

A decision to let Prof Pandey continue as a teacher in the department of Physiology was taken at the Executive Council meet held on December 8. The extension was granted under Section 56 (E) of the varsity act, which says that the V-C can give the post of registrar to a teacher in the absence of a regular registrar. The varsity has also written to the State Government for appointing a regular registrar and finance officer at KGMU.

IPS officers elevated
The state government, which had promoted four IPS officers of 1972 and 1973 batches to the DG rank, had elevated their posts to the DG level. ADG, PAC, Bua Singh who is tipped to be the next DGP, has become the DG, PAC. ADG (Fire) SS Banerjee has become the DG, Training. ADG, Bhimrao Ambedkar Academy (Moradabad), Sunil Krishna has also been elevated to the DG rank and ADG, PHQ, SK Rizvi has become the DG, PHQ, Allahabad. The special secretaries, PWD, K Ram Mohan Rao and Rakesh Kumar Goel have been shifted to Hardoi and Deoria, respectively, as DM, joint director, Economic and Statistics Department, SK Shrivastav has been appointed as secretary, UP Backward Class Commission.
