MH Kherawala on Sunday took over as chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in the Finance Ministry.
She succeeds MS Darda, who retired on Saturday.
Kherawala belongs to the 1969 batch of the Indian Revenue Service. Prior to this appointment, she was Member (Legislation) in the board.
