Kids celebrate the spirit of FIFA

Kids of age group between 10-13 years participated in the tournament to kick off TEAMGEIST, the Adidas World Cup 2006 football.

On the occasion of Republic Day, Leap Years organised Freedom Cup 2006 where in children of age group between 10-13 years participated in the tournament to kick off TEAMGEIST, the Adidas World Cup 2006 football.
The tournament was organised to celebrate the spirit of FIFA world cup 2006. The event saw participation of 70 Kids from South Delhi and Gurgaon played between 10 years & under pool and 13 years & under pool category.

“India has lot of potential for the soccer. Moreover the international sports channels like ESPN and Star Sports have generated lot of awareness for this sport in this of part of the world,” Vikram Singh, the event coordinator, who has been associated with Baichung Bhutia.

“We should look forward to promote this game with a focused approach. This initiative is a small step towards that,” he added. Delhi Public School, Gurgaon emerged as the winner of the Freedom Trophy.

The Most promising player was given jointly to Shailendra and Thapa from DPS Gurgaon.
