Addressing media persons on Monday, Sharma said his daughter, Garima, was admitted to Vatsalya Nursing Home on April 27. She was suffering from high fever at the time. The doctors conducted certain pathological investigations and started Garima’s treatment. On the night of April 29, she was suddenly put on a ventilator. The doctors and even the nurses did not care to tell the family the reason for this. Later, all senior doctors went missing and no one examined her between 2 am and 5 am on April 30, the father alleged.

“Later, after making a special request, a paediatrician examined her and claimed she was recovering. However, some hospital staff said Garima had died and she was on ventilator so that the medical bill could be inflated. The doctor treating her was in Delhi at the time. In the morning, we were finally told that Garima had expired and her body should be immediately taken away from the hospital.
