The civic body has diverted road construction project from Mhow Naka to AB Road after its efforts to construct the bond road there were stymied following a green bench order to stop felling of trees.

IMC was about to fell over 500 trees along the road, which residents had planted in memory of their ancestors. The bond road from Mhow Naka to Phuti Kothi forms part of bond roads phase II.

At LIG Junction, people began dismantling their kiosks voluntarily after IMC issued notices to them yesterday.
