All rounder Andre Adams has been recalled to New Zealand's squad of 12 for the fourth one-day international against Pakistan at Napier on Wednesday.

Adams was dropped from the team after playing in the series opener in Auckland, but New Zealand coach John Bracewell said on Saturday the medium pacer was better suited to Napier's smallish outfield than fast bowler Ian Butler.

In 29 one-day internationals, Adams has taken 43 wickets at an average of 27.16.

Butler, who makes way for Adams in the squad, took one for 49 in 50 overs in the second one-dayer at Queenstown, his only appearance so far in the five-match series.

New Zealand lead the series 2-1 after winning the third one-day international by seven wickets on Saturdayn

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (captain), Andre Adams, Craig Cumming, Chris Cairns, Brendon McCullum, Craig McMillan, Hamish Marshall, Kyle Mills, Jacob Oram, Scott Styris, Daryl Tuffey, Daniel Vettori.
