Imported from Germany at over Rs 4 crore, the system has unique application in first-of-its-kind non-invasive cardiac angiography in less than 15 seconds. So there will be no surgical intervention or hospitalisation in any form. There are plans to set up the system latest by April 15, 2006, informed Secretary of Kamala Nehru Memorial Trust Society Inder Khosla.

Talking to HT Allahabad Live Khosla said this advance technology will also help in the correct diagnosis and clinical applications in cancer detection, neurology, lung care and nephrology. The system utilises the revolutionary Z-sharp 4-D technology due to which the diagnosis is possible in less than ten seconds and reduction of harmful X ray dose upto 66 per cent, he added.

What's more the system is capable of visualising any lesion of the size of 0.01mm.

Not only this, the machine can also accurately evaluate bone density for any bone related change and it offers dynamic 3-D view of all organs.

The unit has a remote service facility for interventions and repairs without service engineer being actually on the site.

"The hospital is always striving to make available most innovative and cutting edge medical technology available to the general public of Allahabad and neighbouring districts for correct diagnosis and treatment of various ailments," said Khosla.
