Kolkata phone lines dead, air passengers in trouble

Passengers seeking details about their flights faced difficulty for some time as several phone lines of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) offices and different airlines remained inoperative at the NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Thursday.

The problem continued for a few hours at the seven AAI offices, airport sources said.

The affected telephone lines at the airport became functional in the afternoon after the telecom personnel undertook repairs on an urgent basis, they added.
