Circus at sea
It was a day of high drama at sea. The promised siege of the atomic energy plant by protesters didn’t happen. But the seaside turned into a circus with around 1,000 boats on the water. Marine police and the coast guard minded the traffic. The Rapid Action Force and the STF kept vigil around the plant

Udaykumar, the star
The star of the show undoubtedly was SP Udaykumar, convenor of the Peoples’ Movement Against Nuclear Energy. The man, who has a non-bailable warrant against him and has been on the run for two months, stood on a boat a few hundred meters from the shore and dared police to arrest him.
