Riding on his "garib chetna rath", the RJD supremo addressed a large number of street corner meetings and launched door-to-door campaign in Chapra assembly segment on Saturday appealing to the people to strengthen the newly formed United Progressive Alliance (UPA), of which RJD is a constituent.
The Railway minister, who is moving around in the Chapra Lok Sabha seat since Friday, is promising bringing railway line in the areas deprived of it besides his usual barb against NDA.

Meanwhile, the district administration has made fool-proof arrangements for the repoll in Chapra.
All the 60 companies (one company comprises of 100 personnel) of Central Para-Military Force, sanctioned for the Chapra repoll, have been deployed in different areas to ensure free and fair conduct of poll on Monday, official sources said.
Presiding Officers drawn from Central government services were also being sent to their respective destinations, they said.
The six Observers appointed to supervise election in Chapra on May 31 have arrived here.
The state government had ordered closure of all government and non-governmental institutions except for those dealing in the emergency services on May 31 in view of the election.
