Landmine found in West Midnapore forest

Combined force personnel on Tuesday found a landmine in Mohanpur jungle of West Midnapore district, police said. The bomb squad was informed.

Additional superintendent of police Kalyan Mukherjee, who is also in charge of Jangalmahal area, said the security men during a patrol detected the landmine which was planted inside a pipe unlike landmines which are kept in containers.

The bomb squad was informed, he said.
