A 60-year-old Sri Lankan man, who had been under tones of tsunami-debris for thirteen nightmarish days, was pulled out by relief workers on Saturday.

The dishevelled and broken AD Sirisena was pulled out from the debris of a building in the southern beach resort town of Unawatuna, and rushed to the government hospital at Karapitiya, where doctors said that he had broken an arm and was suffering from mild pneumonia.
They said that Sirisena was talking and that he would definitely recover from his illness.
"But he is extremely weak and dehydrated as he hadn't had any food or water for 13 days," a doctor said.
It is not yet known if Sirisena has any psychological problems as a result of his confinement at the bottom of tones of debris for such a long time.
Pressmen were prevented from talking to him considering his delicate state of health but lensmen, both local and foreign, had a field day clicking away.
