Leh has good potential in the area of non-conventional energy and it can be utilised both in agriculture and horticulture, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Sunday.

"Leh has a good potential of conventional and non-conventional energy which could be utilised in the fields of agriculture and horticulture," Abdullah said at the concluding function of Ladakh Kissan Jawan Vigyan Mela at the Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR) of DRDO in Leh.
Abdullah appreciated the efforts made by the DIHAR scientists in developing new technology in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, animal husbandry and poultry, which has greatly helped the local community.
