Lensman Hamidullah Khan had gone to the school on Monday to cover the meeting between parents and principal which was held to discuss the debarring of 40 students of class 9 and above from appearing for the examination.
Principal Thomas had earlier given a notice stating that all those students, who had not submitted their fee pending from April, would not be allowed to take the examinations if they did not submit it till August 14.
Later, the Principal extended the date till September 6. The exams were scheduled to be begin from September 7.
On September 7, the Principal said, such 40 defaulters were stopped from appearing at the examination to maintain discipline in the school.
Annoyed with the administrative decision, one of the guardians came to school and quarelled with him and the staff over the issue, he said.
“The same guardian came to school along with a dozen of supporters on Monday. We were discussing the matter when a man, posing to be from a missionary of Varanasi, entered the school,” Fr Thomas added.
“The man suddenly placed his camera on a stand and started videography.
When, we asked him to go outside, he did not go. In the meantime, his stand was touched by mistake by a staff member in the overcrowded room. Later, he went outside and did videography of the entire school without permission,” the principal said.
However, lensman Hamidullah Khan accused the college management of attacking him and breaking his camera during coverage.
He lodged a complaint against the school principal with police.
