Let the dirty feet do the talking

I took this photograph in old Delhi while I was part of the Dilli 6 photography workshop. Though I have been pursuing my passion for photography for sometime now, but being guided by someone as experienced as Sephi Bergerson and Nagender Chhikara was an awesome experience.

This picture is my favourite amongst all that I took during our visit to old Delhi where I have tried to create a metaphor with locks and the position of the feet as seen in the picture.

I found a similarity between locks on a steel cabinet and the man sleeping with his feet locked.

Since the photograph was taken early morning, things were at a standstill and people were still waking up. One can notice that the feet are dirty and have toiled the previous day but now everything is quietly locked and rested for rejuvenation.

The camera is my spiritual tool and I find myself closer to life and its connotations through the viewfinder.

I am completely self-taught and I believe that my background in science and the arts have gelled very well in my pursuit of photographic expression.
