Lions Club honours Prime Minister

Singh is the second PM from India to receive this award after Indira Gandhi.

The International Association of Lions Clubs presented the Country Head Award for 2005-06 to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Thursday.

President of the Association Ashok Mehta presented the award to Singh.

Singh is the second Prime Minister from India to receive this award after Indira Gandhi.

The award is presented by the Association to the Heads of State/Government for their contribution to humanitarian causes and betterment of the society, an official release said.
