The BJP emerged with a majority in Haryana and emerged as the single largest party in Maharashtra.

BJP state organisational general secretary said the electorate has rejected the 'directionless policies' of the Congress governments in Maharashtra and Haryana and has given a positive vote for the policies of the BJP government at the Centre.

The state president and general secretary have also said that the BJP workers from MP also played a very important role in the elections in the two states.

"Workers from the state had been camping in the states from a long time and planned to ensure voting at the booth level," they added.

BJP workers exploded crackers at Deen Dayal Bhawan, the state BJP headquarters, as soon as it became clear that the BJP had an advantage in the polls.

After the crackers were exploded, BJP leaders swept the area with brooms.
