The Rajasthan Minister of State for School and Technical Education was talking to media persons at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Indore on Saturday.

Devnani said that Rajasthan has emerged as the best state in the field of education and crossed the national average in the field of higher education with 920 colleges in comparison to the national figure of 750. In Rajasthan, every Panchayat block has an ITI and a college for every 6000 population, 25 B Ed colleges and 50000 elementary/primary, middle and secondary schools. Rajasthan has recently appointed one lakh teachers, he added.

Lauding technical education in Madhya Pradesh, he stated that both the BJP-ruled states have several similarities and there can be an active cooperation in educational exchange of students and teachers between the two states. The two states can also cooperate in many other sectors like tourism. He stressed the urgent need to complete the river linking project.
