A four-member team of Delhi police arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday to carry out searches in certain places as a sequel to information revealed by Rahul Mahajan and Sahil Zarru held in a drug abuse case.
The team would carry out searches and probe various aspects of information revealed by the two accused on supply of drugs through conduits in the city particularly at lavish five-star parties, sources said.
The team is working independently and would take help of Mumbai police only if it was necessary, the sources said adding that Delhi police had sent its men to dig out more information on the drug cartel operating in the city and other places in the country.
Rahul, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, was arrested on Tuesday after co-accused Sahil disclosed that he had taken drugs along with Rahul and others at Pramod Mahajan's Delhi residence last week.
