Mahajan alleged that party colleague Karnabal Dunbale abused him over phone.

The dispute began over a report in a newspaper, which said the post of contact chief for the district was abolished. The report had comments by Mahajan on Dunbale who is the contact chief of Beed.

“Why should I tolerate this kind of attitude in my own district. When I reached Beed, he tried to attack me. He should be punished else I will quit the party,” said Mahajan.

MNS spokesperson Shirish Parkar said: “No one is above the party. Whoever is guilty, will be punished.”
