Mahe station to be upgraded: PMK MP

The railway station at Mahe, an enclave of Union Territory of Puducherry in Kerala, would be renovated and upgraded to a model railway station status soon, PMK MP M Ramadoss said on Thursday.

In a release in Puducherry, he said the Railway Ministry had drawn up necessary action plan to make the station a model structure and the works would commence in the next two months.

All facilities including construction of retiring rooms, enquiry counters, ATM facilities and telephone facilities would form part of the amenities the railway authorities would provide under the programme.
