A major fire broke out at the State Bank of India office in Fort area in south Mumbai on morning, fire brigade sources said.

The fire broke out at 9.15 am, the sources said, adding eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.

However, no one was injured in the mishap as the bank was closed.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they added.
