A day after it was reported that Sahara Mall’s security supervisor was assaulted by a pub manager and a bouncer, the CCTV footage Friday showed that the supervisor had just requested the two to move aside.
On Wednesday night, Amit Tyagi, the manager of pub Last Chance, and a bouncer had thrashed Kamlesh Dwivedi, a resident of Uttar Pradesh working with SLV Securities in the mall.
According to the bar owner, the altercation began after the supervisor misbehaved with the pub manager and bouncers.
However, the CCTV footage acquired by the police clearly shows that the supervisor had just requested them to move aside, cautioning that debris might fall on them from the roof due to repair work.
“The CCTV footage clearly shows that the manager and a bouncer assaulted the supervisor for no reason. Such incidents are increasing in Sahara Mall. We will soon arrest the two accused,” station house officer Jagdish Prasad said.
On Thursday, it was reported that two bouncers were involved in the brawl. But the footage showed that the other bouncer was just trying to stop the fight.
The police have closed the pub, cut the electricity and water supply and said the pub would not be allowed to operate till the accused are arrested. Meanwhile, Diwedi, 42, who was admitted at the Civil Hospital, is reported to be out of danger.

{{/usCountry}}With six pubs on its third floor, Sahara Mall has been increasingly in the news for such incidents. Security guards say the mall virtually turns into a battleground on the weekend.
“Bouncers are a nuisance in any mall and they are no less than criminals. There have been so many cases of them assaulting the visitors,” a guard at the mall said.
