A press invitation by Hazare’s team said that on Wednesday Hazare will “announce his support to Banerjee as the most suitable prime ministerial candidate of India and will share his reasons for supporting her.”

Hazare’s support for Banerjee comes at a time when AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal is trying to woo him to support his outfit for the upcoming LS polls.

Banerjee will be in Delhi for three days and is expected to meet other key non-Congress, non-BJP leaders. Her tour assumes significance as Trinamool’s arch rival, the CPI(M) has already made some inroads in the Third Front territory. The Left parties have sealed an alliance with AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa in Tamil Nadu.

Banerjee and Left are both eyeing partnership with parties like JD(U), BJD and SP for the coming polls.
