A man was arrested for stealing his friend's two credit cards and shopping for Rs 2.49 lakh with them, police said on Monday.

Shahan Sultan who works in a call centre has lodged a complaint against Suprit, saying he stole the credit cards from his DLF Phase-1 resident on June 5.

Sultan discovered the theft the next day when he received text messages on his mobile phone about the purchases made through his credit cards.
Investigation officer Bijender Singh said: "We have arrested Suprit and to investigate the matter further, a team of Haryana Police will soon leave for Delhi to find out about the places where the purchases were made from the stolen credit cards.”
