A shopowner has been arrested in Kanpur for allegedly making fake identity cards, PAN cards and other documents.

A shopowner has been arrested in Kanpur for allegedly making fake identity cards, PAN cards and other documents, police said on Saturday.

A police team carried out a raid on the shop in all road area and arrested its owner Dinesh Chand Garg following a tip-off that fake documents were being prepared there, they said.

Some CDs and other material were seized during the raid, they said adding that Garg was allegedly making identity cards, PAN cards and other important documents after charging a nominal amount.
