The report released by the police states the following:

Mahendra, nephew of Manoj Singh, fell in love with Neetu (his first sister). Neetu was the daughter of Manoj Singh's brother. Therefore, she was also the sister of Mahendra.

Mahendra had sexual relations with Neetu and eloped with the girl last year. After taking her to Gujarat he returned and was scolded by the family for committing a grave sexual crime with his own sister!

After all this chaos, Manoj fixed Neetu's marriage, which angered Mahendra, and he demanded that the marriage proposal be cancelled. He proposed to marry his own sister.

This created a furor among the family members. But Mahendra, who was under the influence of love, was not willing to listen to anyone. And in a fit of rage he locked the room in which Manoj, his wife and his two daughters were sleeping. He threatened to kill them. Seeing blood in Mahendra's eyes, the family pleaded for mercy but in vein.
