A 32-year-old businessman allegedly killed his wife and young son before shooting himself with a country-made revolver on Tuesday night in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
Businessman Ankur Gupta was a resident of Orange County society. Police suspect he had a fight with his wife Sarika, 28, after which he shot her and their son Parth, 7, in the head and then killed himself.

A country-made weapon and a cartridge have been recovered from the spot. The incident is believed to have happened at around 11 pm.

The bodies were found when Ankush Gupta, the brother of Ankur, returned home after attending a social event. Ankush told the police that after he repeatedly knocked on the door and got no response, he used his duplicate keys to enter and found the bodies in the house. The police received a call from Ankush at 1.35 am.

Parth’s body was found lying in a pool of blood on the bedroom floor while his father’s body was on the bed. Sarika’s body was found in the bathroom.

The couple married in 2005 and shifted to Orange County five months ago from Shahdara, New Delhi. Ankur had a hosiery factory in the Mussoorie industrial area.
Ankur and Ankush’s parents live in the same society.
