In an attack for alleged 'honour', a man was shot at for marrying a girl against her family wishes here, police said.
Dushyant Yadav recieved bullet injured after he was shot at by his brother-in-laws-- Anand Mohan Rajput and Jagtar Singh-- under Tukoganj police station area on June 27 for tying knot with Neha Rajput, police said.
"I entered wedlock with Neha against her family members' wish on January 16, after which I had been receiving threats of dire consequences," Yadav said. Her family members are opposed to our inter-caste love marriage, he said.
Yadav is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, police said adding Rajput and Singh had been booked on the charge of attempt to murder. The investigations were on in the case, police said. No one has been arrested so far.
