A woman security guard of Manipur chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh has died of bullet injury, police said on Thursday.

A woman security guard of Manipur chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh has died of bullet injury, police said on Thursday.

However, it was not immediately known whether Priti D Bole, 22, committed suicide or received a bullet injury by accidental firing of a colleague, they said.

Bole, who was on duty as a security guard of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), succumbed to her injuries at JNI Medical Sciences and Hospital in Imphal on Wednesday.

Ibobi Singh was not present at the time of the incident. Police and official sources declined to disclose how the victim received the bullet wound. Her body would be flown to her home state Maharashtra on Thursday.
