Seth Anandram Jaipuria School is not just place to provide academic excellence but it also channelizes the thought processes of an individual in the right direction at the right time.
Being a part of this society, we must return back some essentials to it, which I came to know from my school, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School. It inculcates in me a sense of social responsibility towards various sections of society, be it underprivileged children, women empowerment, Health initiatives or environmental concerns.
The school has enabled us to interact and inspired us to care and share with prestigious NGOs like Goonj, Hand -in-Hand which aims to provide life and dignity to lacs of underprivileged children and Seva Samaj Samarpan Samiti, which runs schools for slum children and enable a secure future for them. In this way, we can give back our bit to the less privileged lot of society. It is our endeavor to pay regular visits to this school and associate with the students there.
The school also nurtures values of compassion, empathy and concern, while working with Ummed, an organization which is working for autistic children, provided us a platform to help them to have confidence and make them at par with the mainstream. The school lends a helping hand to contribute towards making a better society by giving them an opportunity to better themselves.
The Interact club of school in association with Rotary club , is enthusiastically engaged in maintaining an uninterrupted supply of blood to Thalesemia and Leukemia patients by organizing blood camps and trying their best to save each life on earth. At the same time, my school also empowers us to strongly fight, even the toughest situations by providing defense and safety training to girls. This is a step towards women empowerment.
My school is eco-friendly and inculcates a sense of environment concern in us by various competitions such as poster designing, essay writing etc. We have a recycling plant within our school premises, which enables me to increase my handprint on earth. In addition to this, the school in collaboration with Centre for Environment Education has conducted various workshops for sensitizing students.
We, as Nature Nurturers are now working on an action plan to reduce the fuel and electricity bills of almost 30 families to transform them into energy conscious families. In collaboration with The Embassy of Switzerland, my school has conducted a lot of activities towards inculcating environmental awareness. This has enabled students, the future policy makers, to get acquainted with global environmental polices and carve out a plan to improve ours.
By providing me a platform and exposing me to a plethora of activities , today my school has made me capable of contributing my best to this society and to put my best foot forward . This also goes well for the army of students who will grow up to become a society of environmentally aware citizens.
