Over 150 students from different city schools joined the battle against cancer and give message 'Not To Fear Cancer But To Fight It', on the occasion of National Cancer Awareness Day, on Tuesday.

The event was 'Run 4 Cancer', a marathon race, organised by Regional Cancer Centre at Kamala Nehru Memorial Hospital (KNMH), to spread awareness about cancer and stop its fatal march.
KNMH medical superintendent Dr JK Gupta flagged off the race from the hospital.
The race accompanied by Police Band passed through Hashimpur Road, Lowther Road, Pannalal Road, Thornhill Road and concluded at the hospital.
The students of St Joseph's High School, Holy Trinity School, Bethany Convent School, Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir, Mary Lucas School, St Anthony Convent School, Mary Wanamaker, Bishop Johnson, Crosthwait, Ramanujan Public School and Girls High School participated in the race.
Additional Director Medical and Head of Department Radiation Oncology Dr B Paul Thaliath said the winners of the race would be awarded at the special function at Cancer Convocation on November 11.
