A hardcore Maoist, involved in several attacks, has been arrested with arms and ammunition in Orissa's Rayagada district.

The police on Thursday said that Laba Kimbaka (35) of Kanarhi village, 150 km from Rayagada, was picked up by a joint team of CRPF and Orissa armed police from the Muniguda-Telengapada forest Wednesday evening.

Apart from two crude bombs, two detonators and some landmines, documents, literature, hand-written posters and letters were seized from him, Superintendent of Police Anup Krishna said.
The rebel was involved in many a Naxal attack, the SP said adding he was also imparting training to new cadres and local tribals and running camps inside the forest of the naxal-infested district, police said.
