Two tribals were shot dead by Maoists, who branded them as police informers, in a remote area in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours on Monday, police said.

The maoists went to Ramaraopalem village in Chintapalli mandal and opened fire from close range killing them instantaneously, polie said.

The ultras left a letter stating that the duo were acting as police informers in the village.
