Earlier market used to serve the needs of people but now it is deciding our lifestyle and is almost dictating as to what we should eat, wear or even what we should do’, he said, adding `the main aim of each one of us is how to earn pleasure’.
Dr. Jhunjhunwala said that UPA government is trying to raise our growth rate from 4 to 8 percent but in this process job opportunities are falling down each day, which is a matter of concern. “Earlier there were plenty of job opportunities in the organized sector in our country in 1997 with around 293 lakh people employed but now despite efforts by the government, job opportunities have witnessed considerable a decline’, he elaborated.
He also said that while an increase in growth rate was good for a nation and its government but was negative for its society and individuals.
Prof. Kamlakar Mishra presided over the lecture whereas Prof. Ajit Narayan Tripathi welcomed the guests and introduced the speakers to the audience. Dr. Dharmendra Mishra conducted the programme.
