Maya warns of law & order problem if statues demolished

Hitting back at Samajwadi Party's threats to demolish statues and memorials of Dalit icons, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minster Maywati on Thursday warned any such move would lead to a serious law and order problem across the country warranting imposition of President's rule.

"If the SP ever resorts to any such misadventure, it would lead to strong protests all over the country and spoil the law and order situation that President's rule would have to be imposed in the country", Mayawati said during foundation stone laying of Kanshi Ram Eco Green park in Lucknow on Thursday.
