No casualty or property loss was reported due to the tremor felt in Kanchiyar, Ayyappankovil and Wagamon areas in the highland areas bordering Idukki and Kottayam districts, they said.

Though heavy rains had been battering the area since last night, there were no reports of any landslide or other damage, they added.
