One person was killed and four others were injured when suspected militants fired at a liquor shop on the banks of Dal Lake, Srinagar, on Thursday.

Police said two pistol-wielding militants fired on employees of the liquor shop, some distance away from Nehru Park near Dal Lake.

“Of the four injured, three are the salesman of the shop while one was a passer-by,” said Kuldeep Kumar, a police officer at Nehru Park police post.
