Minor helps nab youth who tried to rape her
A YOUTH, who tried to rape a minor girl after locking her inside a bathroom at a commercial complex situated near Malwa Mill crossing a few days ago, was caught on Thursday due to the efforts of the victim.
A YOUTH, who tried to rape a minor girl after locking her inside a bathroom at a commercial complex situated near Malwa Mill crossing a few days ago, was caught on Thursday due to the efforts of the victim.
The accused has been identified as Madan (17), a resident of Amar Tekri. The victim is the daughter of vegetable vendor Kailash son of Chhotelal resident of Kazi Ka Chawl. The incident occurred on December 5 while the girl was returning home from school.
She told her parents that an unidentified youth beckoned her near the commercial complex and then tricked her into a bathroom where he locked her. She said the youth was forced to release her when she shouted for help. The girl’s parents then lodged a report with Tukoganj police.
On Thursday, the girl spotted the youth once again near the same commercial complex and called her parents, who caught him and handed him over to the police.
