Minor raped by youth near Sonepat

A case has been registered against the accused, who is said to be absconding after committing the crime.

A two-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Siwanka village, about 50 kms from Sonepat, police said on Wednesday.

A case has been registered against accused Chhotu, who is said to be absconding after committing the crime on Tuesday.

The accused allegedly kidnapped the girl from a field after her grandfather, with whom she was playing, went to fetch water for drinking.

He later raped the minor, police said adding she was referred to a Rohtak hospital for medical examination.
