Terming the protesting doctors and students as "misguided", the AIMF appealed to them to leave the path of confrontation and withdraw their agitation unconditionally, "otherwise the members of AIMF would be forced to take on them on the streets," a statement by the Front said in New Delhi.

The AIMF condemned the "brutal lathicharge" by police against striking doctors and demanded a judicial inquiry into the violence.

The Front also asked doctors belonging to SC, ST, OBC and minority communities to rise to the occasion and take care of patients.
