The Mirwaiz called a joint meeting of all separatist parties on Wednesday to formulate a joint plan, a spokesman of Hurriyat told PTI.

He said Mirwaiz also invited civil society, trade union leaders and ulemas for the proposed meeting.

His similar appeal last month received cold shoulder from hardline faction of Hurriyat headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who said his amalgam will support the programme announced by moderates but would give a seperate programme to the public regarding lodging protest against the unabated human rights violations.

Jailed senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah condemned the killing of youths in the state by security forces.
