The Ghaziabad Police on Wednesday found the 21-year-old management trainee who went missing in mysterious circumstances since Monday. Aditi Tyagi, it has emerged, had eloped to get unite with her lover, Mudassar, whom she had reportedly married a year ago.
She was found in Sector-17 in Gurgaon with Mudassar, whom she married after eloping, SP (City) Vijay Bhushan told reporters at a press conference in Indirapuram.
“The missing person’s report was converted into a case of suspected kidnapping after the woman went missing. After her call details were checked, she was found to be in constant touch with Mudassar. She told the police that she had gone willingly with the man and both of them were married,” said Ghaziabad SSP Deepak Ratan.
Aditi, a resident of Shastri Nagar in Ghaziabad, went missing on Monday evening when she was returning from her office at Noida Sector 62. Her car found in the Hindon River early Monday morning.
Aditi was taken for a medical check-up at the MMG hospital. Both of them were produced by the police at a CJM’s court in Ghaziabad. Mudassar’s statement was recorded and he was sent to 14-day judicial custody. Aditi’s in-camera statements were recorded before the judge after which she was handed over to her family.
The boy’s family said they studied in the same college. “Mudassar had gone to his office and did not return. We were informed by media reports that the Ghaziabad Police had found them at Gurgaon. The boy told the court that both of them had married a year ago,” said Dr Irfan, Mudassar’s father and a resident of Kaila Bhatta area of Ghaziabad.
